Here are the roles for the opening. Some will be added/removed in the future, and the list is of course subject to change in case something unforeseen happens, but it's fairly final. Please also read this post for information about RPP, clanlead roles and the independent shop role. Character creation is not open yet, but we expect to enable it tomorrow.

0 RPP: Recruit of Block Nine
You are a recent addition to Block Nine, recruited on trial basis to prove your worth and do whatever you can to win the good graces of the crew. You might be a young slummer fresh from a youth gang, a local worker with ambitions for more, or perhaps a talented individual lucky enough to be noticed and invited into the Family. Whatever the case, you are at the bottom of the hierarchy but with every opportunity to rise.

0 RPP: Recruit of the Red Company
You are a recent addition to the Red Company, recruited on trial basis to prove your worth and do whatever you can to win the good graces of the crew. You might be a young slummer fresh from a youth gang, a local worker with ambitions for more, or perhaps a talented individual lucky enough to be noticed and invited into the Family. Whatever the case, you are at the bottom of the hierarchy but with every opportunity to rise.

Having proven your worth in some way, you've been inducted as a full member of the Family and enjoy most of the benefits of such a life. Though you are probably not yet trusted with the most important and sensitive tasks or information, you are considered reliable and a valued part of the crew.
+10 to one skill (cannot be dodge or deflect)
+5 to a second skill


1 RPP: Full Member of the Red Company
You have been a member of the Red Company for some time now, possibly several years or more. Having proven your worth in some way, you've been inducted as a full member of the Family and enjoy most of the benefits of such a life. Though you are probably not yet trusted with the most important and sensitive tasks or information, you are considered reliable and a valued part of the crew.
+10 to one skill (cannot be dodge or deflect)
+5 to a second skill

You are a brawler, a scrapper, a prizefighter or perhaps a mercenary, but you are not currently affiliated with any of Rust's major gangs. Living in relative poverty either in the market or the outer slums, you do whatever it takes to survive and have often used violence to accomplish this. Wherever your life takes you from here on out, you are a better hand in a fight than the common slum-denizen.
+10 to one combat skill (cannot be dodge or deflect)
+5 to any second skill


1 RPP: Slum Craftsman
While not affiliated with any of Rust's major gangs, you have acquired a bit of skill at some craft or other. Though you lack both the expertise and the capital to own a business, you are able to do enough to scrape by and live just a little better than the common slum-denizen. Living in relative poverty either in the market or the outer slums, you ply your trade in whatever way possible.
+10 to one crafting skill
+5 to any second skill


2 RPP: Lifelong Member of Block Nine
You have been a member of Block Nine your whole life, or near enough to make no matter. As a core member of the gang, you have proven your worth and loyalty several times over and can be trusted with difficult or secretive matters. You are likely authorized to lead hunting and scavenging trips or manage one of the Family's businesses, and the newer members might come to you with their problems, requests and suggestions.
+15 to one skill (cannot be dodge or deflect)
+10 to a second skill


2 RPP: Lifelong Member of the Red Company
You have been a member of the Red Company your whole life, or near enough to make no matter. As a core member of the gang, you have proven your worth and loyalty several times over and can be trusted with difficult or secretive matters. 2 RPP: Independent Shop-owner in the Market (limited availability)
Though you are not part of one of the Families, you have somehow been succesful enough to purchase a shop in the market. It is little more than a shack, but you manage to run a business of some kind and make a respectable living by Rust standards. You should probably also rent a home as the shop is barely large enough to store your goods, let alone live comfortably in, but it gives you a financial freedom that few have, as well as the opportunity to perhaps even hire someone to further your business.

+10 to any second skill

Is there likely to ever be a 2 RPP equivalent of this role with +15 +10 boosts, or is it intentional those boosts are reserved for lifelong family members?
