Sometime next week, probably Monday night, I'm going to be transferring the Parallel server from its current host.

Assuming I know what I'm doing (this is a stretch) there should be zero downtime and no loss of information.

When I switch the DNS, I will redirect this server toward the other one so that hopefully even if it's slow to update, you should still end up at the right place.

Cheers!

GOOD NEWS.

If you can see this, you've made it to the new and improved parallel host.

Game is up. If parallelrpi.com doesn't work for you, try:

162.243.244.213

Cheers.

And yes there are forum issues. I'm hoping they'll resolve with time, but if not I'll be investigating tomorrow.

Obviously the subdomain's not working.

Looking into it.

Looks like everything's working now, pending people's DNS updating.

Toss me an e-mail: holmes@parallelrpi.com if anything terrible happens.

People may need to clear their ip cache if they're using mushclient. I was connecting to the old instance of the mud instead of the migrated one. Also, may want to take the old instance down manually to prevent people from accidentally connecting to it?

To do so go to world details (ctrl+g shortcut), make sure ip address is selected on the left side, and click clear cached IP under the port number.

Oh!

I actually did take the old instance down but I forgot to remove the automated bit that turns it back on.

Thanks.
