Is this kind of thread a good idea? Just seems like it could get out of hand. Is it really a good idea to have a thread for commenting on characters who are still alive?

It's been a longstanding tradition and one that has been in SoI/Atonement too, but...
it tends to be circlejerk masturbatory or just about bashing PCs, generally.
A few people give good, helpful commentary.

Only characters who request feedback can be feedbacked on. I fail to see any possible problem.
If you don't want feedback, don't ask to be feedbacked.
