There's a difference between pasting and eating and pasting and burying.

What I was really getting at was that it seems silly to have another method of body disposal when we already have one- I personally don't think it's the act of pasting that would be important (except to NG), but what's actually done with the paste.

I don't think it'd be far off base to say that certain people might see the reduction of a corpse into paste to be potentially disrespectful to it. You are literally grinding up and processing a corpse into a white goop and sticking it in a plastic tub.

We can easily make a grave craft that uses a shovel to create a container/hole in the ground, that eventually morphs out.

I hazily recall such a grave craft existing elsewhere, before. Or perhaps it was a mass-grave? =X

The potential for grave markers, whether crude plastic things, or actual engraved headstones, could be pretty cool, too.

And other people would probably see it as no different from cremation.

I'm not against a grave craft or anything, I'm just trying to work around all of this around not having an incinerator.

Could have a craft which essentially takes a corpse object and either consumes it (the body is burned on a pyre), makes an 'ash in a decorated urn' (having used an urn object made from the artistry set), or a room object (like a shelter) that is a X-marked grave (X could be from the symbol tags).

It just seems very neat to have an alternate form of honoring dead characters, making them have a longer lasting physical presence on the world.

Well, let's establish some constants, or at least break this down a bit:

1) Eating people is bad.
2) Eating people in paste form is slightly less bad, but not good.
3) Eating non-human meat is better than paste.
4) The most respectful way to dispose of a body is burial.
5) Letting people rot in your street is not good.
5) Burial is not universal, nor absolute. Exceptions happen.

^ should be stickied somewhere or put in the wiki, if someone wants to flesh that out a tiny bit for newbies, so they have an idea.

I could write it, if you like, as long as I get an idea of what you want on it. Up to you guys, just thought i would offer.

Toss together a draft, I'd love to see it!

Probably should have a forum for such things...
