If you see a helpfile that's outdated and should be removed, or one that needs to be added, let me know!

Or if you want to see one rewritten/want to rewrite one, post them here.

We have like 600, and I'm pretty sure half are probably useless.

Skills: Computerology

The computerology skill reflects your skills at programming, hacking
and other computer-related things that go beyond simple everyday
usage.

It is not fully implemented at this point, but gets used in certain
crafts.

General: Computers

Computers are a big part of the Parallel world. There are some that are
simple and unsophisticated; while others are enormous machines so complex that
it would requires dozen of highly educated individuals to operate.

While anyone can use a computer for everyday things, the more advanced usage of
computers falls under computerology. The repairing and building of them falls
mainly under electronics, but with some pieces of engineering as well.

Broken computers can sometimes be repaired, but most often they can be
scavenged for spare parts. However, a computer or other electronic equipment
can only be scavenged once and it becomes an empty shell where the pieces still
existing are simply too broken to be of any use.

Whether or not the computer can be used will be visible by using the command
examine on the item. Based on the person's skills, he/she may or may not
be able to do something with the computer.

HELP FIRE
--------
General: Firearms

Firearms are a large part of Parallel RPI and it is important to know how they work.

There are currently three types of firearms: Handguns, Machine-guns and Rifles.

At least a link to the wiki if not a full explanation would be nice.

General: Professions

During alpha, your character can be of one out of three professions
scientist, engineer and soldier. During character generation, picking
one of those three will generate a pre-made list of skills that makes
sense for that profession. However, you're free to change the
pre-picked skills partially or completely during character generation
to make the skill list better fit your character concept - for
example, a combat medic might be a soldier by profession, but drop
some combat-oriented skills for research and medicine.

Once in game, your profession determines what clanning you get, so
choose carefully even if you decide to pick unusual skills for your
profession.

HELP TAG(s) (does not exist atm)
-----------

Tags are variables used in manipulating items to personalize or specify the type of object you are using. When crafting or purchasing an item from a shop, you might find generic words/phrase preceded by a dollar sign. This means that is a spot for a variable of the type listed. For a list of tags relevant to that variable, use the command:

TAGS (VARIABLE here)

Example: TAGS COLOR will list the basic colors available for use.

Example: TAGS IRONALLOY will list the types of metal found in the game.

The variable specificied will be used in the item's description. For instance, a regular sword could just as easily be "a crossguard-hilted sword with a curved blade" as "a fist-hilted sword with a thick blade". Note the hilt is a variable, as is the blade type.

Most tags come from a material or mold when crafting, such as "a bar of chrion alloy" and "a set of plans for crossguard hilts". Purchasing an item with variables just requires using the right tags when purchasing the item.
-----------------------------

I'm sure there's more that could be added, but my head kinda hurts and I'm bad this game anyway.

General: Jedit

There is currently no command for editing journal entries; in order to change an
entry, you must first erase it using JERASE and then make a new entry via
JWRITE.

See HELP GENERAL JOURNAL for further details.

Seems useless if there is no command.
