Not really a craft, but it would be nice if broken video cameras were gatherable until they were fixed.

Can we have construction crafts be progressive instead of consuming large amounts of materials in one go?
I watched a PC make the mistake of doing 'wire small-building' twice without enough materials, wasting a LOT on the first try because the craft checks only for 15 uses but in fact needs 30 uses of electrical cable.

The craft does actually say it needs 30, but the second 15 aren't until the second phase so it is a bit confusing and not very clear.

That's why the material command exists.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||| > m small-building
Construction: wire small-building
Phase 1: 15 seconds
Held or in Room (Consumed): 2 of a pile of circuits and wires.
Held or in Room (Partially Consumed): 15 of a massive spool of electrical
cable, or several coils of electrical cable.
Phase 2: 30 seconds Familiar Electronics skill required.
Held (Reusable): a $metdam1 $metalcolor0 soldering iron.
Phase 3: 30 seconds
Held or in Room (Consumed): a small building frame.
Held or in Room (Partially Consumed): 15 of a massive spool of electrical
cable, or several coils of electrical cable.
Phase 4: 15 seconds
Produced: a wired, small building frame.

Those are obvious good ways to prevent wasting mats due to stupidity or ignorance (which might be the same thing for smart folk) but what do you say about changing construction to a progressive craft?

Honestly it'd make more sense. At the moment if you have people with the right skillz you can just be like 'a new building is here'!

You can do the same with any craft that requires multiple timers, can't you? You could(with enough armorcrafters) skin a lagato and have plated titon armor in 5 minutes, couldn't you?

There's no timers on building a building and it takes 4 total crafts to complete the whole thing. Does that seem right?

Timers and progression and much diminished chance of somehow destroying large amounts of materials would be nice.
