OOC is not for idle commentary about roleplay. Use it sparingly and when necessary, not to make quips and remarks about things people say in-character or about some aspect of the game that doesn't need clarifying to somebody.
DO:
- use OOC to explain how a command works if a new player asks or is clearly in need
- clear up misunderstandings that have an impact on roleplay and don't make IC sense
- coordinate times for RPTs and such, if mudmail is too impractical
- request/grant consent for anything that requires it
DON'T:
- "lol man I hit that lagato so hard"
- "I really like your description"
- "hehe that was a funny typo"
- "anyone else bored?"
I've noticed a bit too much pointless and disruptive use of OOC lately. Please don't. It destroys immersion and takes everybody out of the scene, so if there isn't an actual need for it, don't use it. If you want to chat about the game, there's always the PRPI chat (found in the Navigation sidebar). Remember not to share information about your character or any recent in-game events.
