Am I right in assuming that using rifles or handguns (where did machine guns go anyways?) in melee checks against the bludgeon skill?

Apparently they use the gun skill itself but..at most your going to do a minor bludgeon wound. Highly ineffective as a melee weapon.

They don't use any skill, except prowess.
