There is an annoying bug that does not allow you to aim if you have a weapon in one hand and a gun in the other. This bug sticks if you draw your gun then sheath your weapon.

You can't wield a full sized sword and a gun at the same time. And you should always wield a gun first.

I remember being able to wield a longblade and handgun at the same time when I played Cyrus. Don't remember how I did it, but I pretty much used that combo during my rounds in the Gauntlet; I do remember I couln't aim though, so I had to use the fire command by itself (usually fired when they tripped).
