Just because something's been done for a long time doesn't mean it's a good thing.

A convenient time to use set melee, no doubt. Some people at least do the decent thing and emote during combat, which is especially easy with brawling as fights take forever.
Otherwise, if they don't, there's no spam for you to ignore, either.
