I was Foster.

He was eternally in inner conflict between a softer, caring side that was capable of great love, and a truly evil side that was as bloodthirsty and hateful as any cannibandit.
Kudos to Bene over the lifespan of Foster, nobody was closer to what remnants of humanity he had than her, and she made Foster a very rewarding character to play as.
His theme song is:

Etain O'Shaughnessy
I loved playing Etain. It was bleh...when she was murdered by someone she had adored forever...who claimed deep, abiding love for her and under that premise, got her trust and took her down in the sewers and slaughtered her in cold-blood. I almost decided then and there that this game was too brutal for me, personally. |

Not just in the game, trust me.
Mystery and uncertainty and having something to chase is attractive. The unattainability of someone intriguing and distant is a draw lots of people fall for.

Not gonna quote Crayon because it's a pretty huge post! The RP was far more intricate and well done than is indicated in this cute little illustration! The only reference to said 'insane' guy's insanity was his desc - which was surprisingly never rp'd out in anyway with Etain until the murder scene.
Oi! And secondly - there is strong inference in the cartoon that Etain had a choice between two chars to fall in love with and she chose poorly. There wasn't - she did love her 'nice guy' and he up and got himself killed...
Yeah -sigh- I loved playing Etain! Stop making me defend her!

There were two living Stephens too!
But yeah, I thought it was applicable and hilarious.

Etain made the right choice - her 'Stephen' got himself killed. She turned to insane guy after this -
"Love you's and love you toos" had already been rp'd between Etain and insane guy before any kind of rp time with the two new 'Stephens' who appeared in Etain's life could happen. She never had to chase insane guy...she just didn't kiss and tell...
