RE: TOR, honestly "Controversy" is a pretty shitty reason to dislike any game. KotOR 2 and Fallout: New Vegas were controversy-filled, but I love them better than the games they followed.

KoTOR 2 was mired in "controversy" because it was utterly unfinished, riddled with game crippling bugs, errors and glitches, half empty and rushed to meet an unrealistic deadline to maximize sales. A fine reason not to play.

I think MMORPGs are pretty much on-the-way-out until they have a tech leap and are able to run more sandboxy, massive, story-oriented projects rather than the old, mechanical, boring crap in a new loretux.
MOBAs are pretty kickin' though.
