Can't figure out what went wrong with this. Here's a log:
Cooking: flavor plain-booze
Phase 1: 20 seconds
Phase 2: 20 seconds Amateur Butchery skill required.
Phase 3: 20 seconds
Held or in Room (Consumed): a rectangular packet of $flavor1 crystals.
Held only (Consumed): a sealed demijohn of clear liquid.
Phase 4: 20 seconds
Produced-to-hand: a sealed demijohn of $flavor3 liquid.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||||> flavor plain-booze
You unseal the demijohn, syphoning it off and pouring out the sludge, sampling
it for palletability.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||||>
You use your best judgement to balance the natural notes of the liquid with the
right amount from 100 rectangular packet of pineapple crystals.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||||>
You are not using enough of a particular item to finish this craft.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||||> look sealed
This blue demijohn is remolded polyprop plastic, lightweight but pocked and
fragile. It is tall, bulbous and narrowing to a round neck only three inches
across. It is filled with liquid and heavy; its neck sealed with a form-fitted
plug that sports an one-way valve, now still an quiet, the yeast within finished
fermenting. A still, clear liquid fills the container, sludge congealed on the
bottom. OPEN DEMIJOHN to access the booze.
<****** / ^^^^^^ / ||||||> look rectangular
This is a small, rectangular packet proudly emblazoned with red fist. Its
labeling indicates that includes crystals of pineapple-flavored artificial
flavoring. It is designed to be popped open in a food reconstitution unit.
If it's opened, it's no longer sealed, right?

It's hard to tell without seeing the itemised contents of the room. Was there more than one demijohn in the room? I've never done this craft, so I'm not entirely sure what the requirements are.
